2-Nitroanisole: O-Methoxy nitrobenzene; o-nitroanisole; 2-nitroanisole; 1-methoxy-2-nitrobenzene. Colorless to light yellow flammable liquid. Soluble in ethanol and ether, insoluble in water.
Use: Used in dye, medicine, perfume and other industries, it can be used to make anthranil, bis-anisidine, chromol AS-OL, big red base B, direct lake blue 6B, reactive blue KD-7G, detergent LS etc.
